Location

Laurel holiday cottage is situated in the small village of Chale near the South coast of the Isle of Wight.

This is a cosy and deceptively spacious two-bedroomed detached cottage (that will comfortably sleep up to 6 people) with beautiful gardens and views overlooking the surrounding countryside.

The cottage is situated in a peaceful location, with the well-stocked village shop just across the village green, nearby local pubs, beautiful countryside walks and only a short journey by bus, car, cycle (or even walking!) to the fantastic surrounding sandy beaches.

The cottage is available to rent on a weekly basis and (when available) for shorter lets and weekend breaks.


Description & Layout

Garden area & Entrance

From the roadside, steps lead up to the large patio and lawned garden. The garden has three areas (all of them suntraps throughout a summer day!) including BBQ facilities, sun chairs and a spacious grassed area at the rear.

Reception Room

Entering from the front door, there is a cosy reception room to the left which provides comfortable chairs and settee / sofabed - a perfect space for peace and quiet.

Lounge Area

The lounge on the right also offers comfortable furnishings together with an open log burning fire, television, video & DVD and music facilities.  

To the back of the cottage there is another lounge area with settee and sofabed. French doors lead onto the patio at the front of the building, offering fantastic views across the countryside with an outside dining and breakfast area.

Kitchen and Dining Area

This second lounge area leads on to an open plan dining room with a large table and chairs, and then on to the the fully equipped modern kitchen.

This space has a lovely ambience in the daytime with plenty of morning light for breakfast and lunch, and a warm atmosphere for socialising, relaxing and dining in the evening.

The kitchen space has all modern amenities and facilities provided, with a gas hob / electric oven, microwave, tea & coffee & toast making facilities. There is a washing machine is to the rear of this area.

 

Bathroom

To the left of the kitchen is a spacious modern bathroom comprising of wc, bath and shower facilities.

Upstairs Area

The upstairs comprises of two double bedrooms, to the left and right. The right side is the larger master bedroom with kingsize bed. The left side bedroom is smaller but sleeps two in a double bed.

 

Electiricty and Gas Included

All costs of electricity and gas are included in the price. Hot running water on demand.
